It is with sadness that we are announcing the closure of the PEPA shop in L’Olleria. The final day of opening will be Friday 23rd August.

The volunteers who work in the shop have battled to keep the shop viable. However with volunteer base decreasing and the takings no longer covering fixed costs, the decision had to be taken.

In the 8 years the L’Olleria shop has been open, it has greatly contributed towards helping many abandoned animals.  Thank you so much to all the many volunteers over the years who have dedicated their time and efforts into raising funds at the shop. Anne Goodwin deserves a very special thank you, she was the driving force in setting the shop up in the beginning and indeed throughout the years it has been in operation. Thank you Anne. Thanks also to Terry Conran and Pat Garner who have been joint managers of the shop for the past year and are organising the closure.

Last, but not least, thank you all the customers and those who have donated goods & clothing to sell – without you, it wouldn’t have been the success it has been.

If you wish to continue to help PEPA by donating any goods, you can do so at our shops in La Font D’en Carrós or Oliva or at either of our Rastro stalls in Novetlé or Ontinyent.
